Weekly Six: 11.12

Posted on: Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Before we open our doors for the week, check out our top six vintage picks. We constantly update our inventory, and we want to keep you in the loop of the new things coming in! So, without further adieu, we bring you:

1: Swap your summer shorts for some wooly winter ones and get ready for sunny holidays. We don't trudge through snow around San Luis Obispo, but it doesn't mean we still can't get into the spirit of things!

2: One boot, two boot, red boot, brown boot. We stocked up on our favorite fall essential: knee highs, booties, riders, flats, heels, straps and stitched! Ruby Rose is a firm believer that no closet can have too many boots!

3: Ole! This wall hanging is lightweight-- despite the bull--and full of character. You'll notice our bent towards matadors walking through the store--a glass set, an oil painting, and now this beauty--anyone else share our love??

4: We've had room decor on the brain these days. And what warms up a room and brings the cozy right in? A pelt of course! And we have a basket full of these littles--a cold desk chair warmer, table top decor, a petite welcome mat for weary travelers...how would you use your pelt?

5: Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? Who me? Keep fresh baked cookies stocked for all your incoming holiday guests and friends in this ceramic squirrel cookie jar. It also doubles as roasted chestnut storage in winter!

6: A place for work, and then a place to shut it all up on vacation days. This secretary desk folds up during tidying and unfolds again when it's time to spread out and get to working!

Stephanie's road trip did not come back empty handed. The shop is full of updated finds, and we want you to be the first to see them! Before we open our doors today, check out our top six picks. Without further adieu, we bring you:

1: Friends, Romans, ducks: welcome gnome. Even Mary, in her most contrary state, cannot deny well placed lawn art brightens anybody's day. Whether a sleeping gnome underneath the mushrooms or a bust keeping watch over the herb garden, you and your plants will enjoy having a new friend, or two, around.

2: Give me an R! Greg spent many a game cheering his team to victory, don't let his efforts go unnoticed. This megaphone will make your voice heard, whether it's a call to dinner, a soap box proclamation, a genuine cheer, or a call to your roommate in the other room. Whatever it's use, it will Represent, Reach, Retaliate, Revitalize (you got your R!).

3: Working hard or hardly working? Keep your mind well distracted with a good prism paperweight! Hypnotic at every angle, it will not only keep your papers in place, but give you something to do when you have nothing to do (or too much you'd rather not do, we know how it goes).

4: Your solid dress feeling drab? We know just what it needs, a bit of flair! Take a spin in this belt with its beaded detail, genuine cowhide leather, and silver arrowheads. Guaranteed to cinch and style.

5: Oh, deer. These delicate wood carvings bring the outdoors in and the deer out of your garden. Don't deny your space a little rustic touch, grab one of these forest creatures today!

6: It's raining men...'s boots, that is. Gentleman's shoes, flannels, work belts, etc have been flooding into the store, and in high demand. Hallelujah!

Before we open our doors for the week, check out our top six picks. We are constantly updating our inventory, so we want to keep you in the loop of the new things coming in. So today we bring you:

1,2: The hills are alive with green grasses and the sun beckons us to them. We want to strap this woven basket-our first pick-to the nearest bicycle, fill it with farm fresh picnic wares and go! We could not forget this great pair of boots, made for running through fields and general adventuring.

3. The biggest bulbs we have laid eyes on! We hold a whole lotta power in our hands with this Edison-type light.

4. A little birdy to told us this necklace goes great with just about everything!

5. Matching green wicker chairs! The two bold green ones come as a set, and all three are comfortable enough to keep you seated for hours: resting, reading or chatting around the dinner table.

6. The sweetest dress there ever could be! Tweed with a Peter Pan collar and cranberry buttons, it transitions from a first day of work dress to lunchtime in the park and then out to eat!

These boots were made for walking....

As a result of our dirty palms and knee caps, we bring you a bounty of boots this week! And so you can begin to drool over the perfect pair, our inventory is separated out by size! Getting our shoe rack organized, because we can't resist a good set of shoes, and neither should you...

Shoes!

Posted on: Monday, August 29, 2011

Last weekend we went to the Rose Bowl to go a boot and shoe huntin'. We knew that going to this flea in August was not a great idea, since it is at the base of the foothills on solid blacktop with no shade. Seriously. The rose bowl has a handful of different sections--the back section is dedicated to mostly vintage clothing, accessories, and lots of mid century and retro...so this is where we primarily shop. We have found that it is important for us to have a specific list on what we are looking for because it can become overwhelming.

We found some fantastic pairs and in some very requested sizes! These are all priced between $46 and $85 and are in sizes 8 to 91/2. We are working hard to find size 10's. They are hard to find but we have the word out, so maybe next month!!
