Weekly Six: 1.14

Posted on: Thursday, January 15, 2015

Before we open our doors for the week, check out our top six vintage picks. We constantly update our inventory, and we want to keep you in the loop of the new things coming in! So, without further adieu, we bring you:

1: Loose papers beware--there's a new cabinet in town. This white file cabinet will have you feeling ready for taxes--this year and for many to come. Stay organized, stay hip, and keep those papers at bay.

2: A vegan deer bust! Appeals to carnivores and animal lovers alike, a sweet plastic deer head is here to delight, not offend. With his small stature, he fits in any size room, too!

3: What strikes you first: the pups sweet face? his snuggly fur? the color palette? Perfectly painted and then perfectly aged, this painting is so good it hurts. This canvas truly is man's best friend--and all ready to adopt!

4: This real turquoise pendant ring is just waiting to be slipped on, carrying its own weight in color and statement. Has style, will travel.

5: Despite Joaquin's bewitching performance, it was the props that proved to be our inherent vice--the many gold leafed glasswares had us lost in a vintage trance with this latest flick! These retro, Orient-inspired glasses carry a little boho chic with every sip, we just can't take our eyes off of em!

6: When fields and cabins give way to concrete and coffees, let this cowhide satchel lift your thoughts to wide open spaces. For the city girl living for adventure, this purse is for you.

More Back Here

Posted on: Friday, January 9, 2015

Through a tiny doorway in the back of our store, there lies an entire other space piled high with old paintings, smalls, old barn doors--a bit of an overflow from the constantly curated main space. This last week, we decided to take to the store's caboose and inspired by more education friendly finds, made our own schoolhouse for every size, age & shape. We collected all the desks, every globe and pull down map we had scattered about, and pulled out collectibles from dark drawers. What resulted we couldn't be happier with! As the new year begins and students head back after the holidays, we feel ready to start new hobbies, reinstate good habits, and resolve to start thinking smarter, not harder about life in 2015.

Before we open our doors for the week, check out our top six vintage picks. We constantly update our inventory, and we want to keep you in the loop of the new things coming in! So, without further adieu, we bring you:

1: Honey, I shrunk our truck--but even in miniature it still carries quite the haul! This green Tonka pick up is the perfect blend of play and nostalgia, and a great decor piece that also entertains when you need to move your safety pins from point A to B.

2: There's an open road out there full of grandeur, and tees reminiscent of adventures past. Keep the dream alive and near (and deer) to your heart with this Big Sky Country tee, worn well and ready.

3: Delicate, silver and turquoise, these earrings are made for everyday and go with just about everything. Add a touch of sweetness to your style with these tiny dangles.

4: "In Los Angeles, everyone is a star" (Denzel Washington). We wanted to bring the spirit of stardom sans the traffic back to San Luis Obispo--and what better way than with her very street sign!

5: An ideal winter garment, this sweater dress gets you feeling feminine without all the freezing. Layer with flirty, floral slips and your warmest leather boots and you'll move from office to Friday night dining without even a shiver.

6: Beautifully white and with soft shifts, this Vera Wang slip feels too good to be true. As we try and catch our breath, come swoon with us over this lingerie made for the movies.
